Taylor Alison Swift is an American singer-songwriter. She was born on December 13, 1989. Swift's discography spans many genres and her songwriting, which is often in the form of her personal life experiences, has garnered a lot of public attention and praise from critics. Swift was born in West Reading, Pennsylvania. She moved to Nashville, Tennessee at the age of 14 to pursue a career as a singer/songwriter. Swift signed a songwriting agreement with Sony/ATV Music Publishing, in 2004, and an agreement to record with Big Machine Records, in 2005. Her 2006 self-titled debut album was the first female country singer to write an U.S. platinum-certified album. Swift's next album, Fearless (2008) was about country music. Speak Now (2010) was her third album.
